Activity Location: Various locations
Who is at risk: Actors/crew members
HAZARD:
RISK LEVEL BEFORE:
(HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW) |
RISK LEVEL AFTER:
(HIGH, LOW) |
CONTROL MEASURES:
(REDUCING THE RISK TO A MINIMAL RISK) |
Filming on the field.
If wet or slippery, the crew/actors could fall over |
MEDIUM – Members of the production could get injured if they slip over
LOW – It wasn’t wet or slippery on the day of filming
To reduce the risk we was careful when on the wet ground and made sure we did not run
Using Candles – Fire risk
HIGH – When using the fire, things that are flammable could easily catch fire
LOW – Make sure the candles are not lit when unattended
To lower the risk when burning the candles, we made sure to have a bucket of water on set and also not to leave them unattended at any time
Trip hazards – Wires in the hoover scene
HIGH – The wires could be left out and a member could fall over them and injure themselves
LOW – Make sure that wires are tucked away and easily visible for the crew to see
To do this we tidied all the wires and had yellow tape over them to make them more noticeable to see
Knife
HIGH – The knife is sharp so somebody could cut themselves if misused and or could slip when handling it
MEDIUM – Make sure the knife is correctly handled and that is only used when needed
To lower the risk, we reminded all actors that the knife prop is not fake and that if misused can cause damage or injuries
