Camera Angles


Extreme Close up -on a person or thing to emphasise emotion

Close up - size of a persons head to show emotions or expressions

Mid-shot - shows head ,shoulders, clothes and personality 

Medium wide shot -  showing the whole body /bodies and their stance showing more body language 

Wide shot - where you can see a group of people of a setting ,gives you more information.

Extreme wide shot  - shows a building a lot more of the setting used more in the opening scene

Pan -camera moves around the whole of the shot e.g following the character

High angle - makes the person look less important

Low angle - makes the person look more important e.g superhero 

Birds eye view/ Aerial  -directly above the characters /setting /shot

Point of view - looks like its coming from the persons eye view 

Over the shoulder  - can see over the person's shoulder so you feel like you're there e.g people talking 

Tracking - the idea that the camera follows the actors

Canted angle -slanted angle shows something wasn't right
